Summers Off? Not Anymore!

To keep up with the quickly changing world of education, teachers at many school also have summer reading lists. Want to find out for yourself about some of the exciting research regarding learning and changes in schools? The book choices can be overwhelming -- Amazon Kindle lists 98,900 books in the reference and education category. Below is a list of books that moms and dads - and others - might enjoy adding to their summer reading list. The list consists of some of the titles that the faculty at staff at Grace Episcopal Day School in Kensington, MD (preschool-5th) hopes to tackle this summer:

  Parents, the next time your children complain about homework in the summer, you can assure them that their teachers have homework too!  Perhaps seeing lists like this will not only give you a few more reading options, but will also motivate students to read even more when they see that their teachers are such bibliophiles.  Happy reading!
