Gesher Jewish Day School
Gesher Jewish Day School is Northern Virginia’s only accredited (VAIS) Jewish day school. Founded in 1982, Gesher proudly serves a population of diverse Jewish backgrounds and affiliations.
Gesher is dedicated to educational excellence, an individualized approach to learning, and to providing a nurturing and exciting educational environment. Our students are challenged to think critically and creatively and to acquire the skills they will need for tomorrow. Our integrated curriculum of general and Jewish studies prepares students to be knowledgeable and committed Jews, dedicated to the State of Israel, and informed and responsible American citizens. Gesher is a welcoming, pluralistic community where children of varied practices and approaches to Judaism come together to learn and where responsibility for self, caring for others, and stewardship of the environment are core values. Gesher is a ready partner and educational resource for the wider Northern Virginia community.

Milton Gottesman Jewish Day School is the only Jewish Day School in Washington, D.C. and provides collaborative and experiential learning with an engaging and flexible dual curriculum of general and Jewish studies to children in grades PK-8. Milton delivers a top-notch education in every subject area, equipping graduates to succeed wherever their next steps lead them, as well as a deep grounding in Jewish values. The environment of the school is vibrantly pluralistic — students from across the spectrum of Jewish observance (and non-observance) are welcomed enthusiastically, as are interfaith families.
