Georgetown Visitation Preparatory School 5

Georgetown Visitation, founded in 1799, is a college preparatory school rooted in the Roman Catholic faith and Salesian tradition, committed to educating young women from diverse backgrounds. We are a faith-centered community dedicated to educational excellence, enriched by co-curricular and service programs and beloved traditions.

Our mission is to empower our students to meet the demands and challenges of today’s rapidly changing and morally complex world. We guide our students to become self-reliant, intellectually mature, and morally responsible women of faith, vision, and purpose.

Along this journey, students are challenged and nurtured and learn to - in the words our religious founder, St. Francis de Sales - "Be who they are and be that well." They also build confidence, whether in the classroom, taking part in our award-winning performing arts and athletics programs, embarking on a life-changing service or immersion trip, or participating in School Government or one of our more-than-50 clubs.
