At Church of the Redeemer Christian School, it is a distinct privilege to serve our Lord Jesus Christ. Our mission, though simply stated, is challenging to fulfill. Forming Christ-like character and pursuing academic excellence in order to grow faithful and fruitful followers of Jesus Christ are lofty goals. Yet, we can do no less to honor and glorify our Lord. I invite you, whatever your relationship to CORCS may be, to cover this mission with daily prayer. Help us help young people to be “in the world” but not “of the world”.

What differentiates your school from all others?
Church of the Redeemer Christian school is about biblical values, academic excellence, a structured and loving environment, individual attention, and cutting edge resources. We have high and rigorous expectations for our students academic, social, and spiritual growth. Our facility is first rate, offering a clean, modern, welcoming environment. While maintaining some 'old school' practices like phonics and cursive handwriting, we are also a place for the 21st century learner with 'better than smart board technology' in each classroom (HD LED large flat screen TV's bundled with apple TV's and DVD players) and iPads for each student. We believe we are the best preparatory Christian school as our 8th grade graduates consistently enter into the highest academic programs in local or magnet public schools or go onto to other private schools with similarly rigorous programs.
Where do you see your school in 5 years, what will be different?
Our school will be fully integrated with the high level of technology in the church so that our vision for the 21st century learner will be complete. Students will be learning to learn in the same hi-tech world in which they live and will work one day. According to the Cardus Study (http://www.acsiglobal.org/wp-content/uploads/ACSI-Cardus-Report_PP_Final_PublicRelease_websitepdf.pdf), as a protestant Christian school, we expect to help students enter adulthood fully engaged in their relationship with Christ and fully engaged in their families, professions, and communities. Our students won't just look to be successful; but to make a significant difference for good in the world.
Whats one myth about your school thats just not true?
While not aware of a general myth about our school there is often a common myth about the quality of academics in private schools. Academics in private schools are usually very rigorous compared to non-private schools. Even good students who matriculate to CORCS from local schools have an adjustment period for a few weeks until they get up to speed with our requirements. I like to tell our parents that they will be able to send most of our graduates to any high school and see them do well academically.
What kind of student is most successful at your school?
Our most successful students come from strong christian families where a student finds a common world view whether at home, church, or school. Our students enjoy the small class and school size where close friendships develop over the years. Students at CORCS know they will have help at home, in school, and on their knees in prayer as well.
Why should we choose your school?
Our students are not only prepared academically and socially to live a life of significance; they are also steeped in the broader truths that support and surround all human life. This 'grounding' prepares them for all that life has to offer, or can throw at them along the way.
