Browne Academy is a diverse independent day school committed to developing the whole child through extraordinary teaching, exceptional academic programs, and a nurturing community. We empower students to be critical thinkers, inspired innovators, engaged peers, and ethical leaders prepared with the confidence to thrive in a dynamic world.
Browne Academy began as one of the first integrated schools in Virginia. Today that spirit of inclusion endures, as our core values – excellence, diversity, character, and community – are an integral part of our school’s tapestry. By encouraging all members of our community to exemplify these values every day, we are building a foundation of empathy and respect that will serve our students throughout their lives.
We believe in providing our students with experiential learning opportunities that encourage thoughtful questioning, personal engagement, use of the greater community, and a deeper understanding of the world. Through our inquiry-based approach, we strive to foster our students’ natural curiosity and develop their lifelong love of learning.
We intentionally keep our class sizes small to nurture each child’s academic, social, and emotional growth. Students feel safe and cared for in such an environment, and as a result, we see them thrive. Our graduates are equipped both academically and personally to navigate life after Browne Academy with confidence.

Westminster’s overall program is based on the belief that children between the ages of three and fourteen are naturally dominated by curiosity and enthusiasm. To satisfy and stimulate this appetite for learning and accomplishment, Westminster presents a well-rounded, challenging curriculum steeped in the classics and enhanced by the arts. The purposeful classroom environment emphasizes thorough mastery of subject, high standards of achievement, good study habits, and personal responsibility.
Art and music classes are part of the weekly schedule for all grades and dance is included as a regular part of the PE program. A unique aspect to Westminster School is its drama program. All students participate in theater, performing in a class play every year, culminating with a Shakespeare play in the 7th grade and a Broadway musical in the 8th grade.
This rich and varied program is supported by extensive optional extracurricular clubs and activities, including Builders Club (community service), Chess, Chorus, Orchestra, French Club, Math Counts, Odyssey of the Mind, Science Olympiad, as well as team sports in basketball, soccer, softball, and track and field. Athletic competitions, art exhibitions, math contests, science fairs, and talent shows provide many opportunities for students to explore and share their talents.
Westminster parents appreciate that the daily school life is supported by an array of programs, including small-group teacher-provided academic support which is built into the school day, extended care, summer and intersession camps, frequent field trips, after-school enrichment classes, door-to-door bus service, and an optional lunch program.
Brooksfield School is a unique age 2 – kindergarten Montessori school idyllically situated on 5 beautiful acres in McLean, Va. Experience the adventure!
At Brooksfield, children become friends for life. Starting with pre-K and continuing through the fourth grade, Brooksfield makes learning an adventure. In a world in which manners, civility and love of knowledge are quickly disappearing, Brooksfield offers families an alternative that combines the best of today with the best of yesterday.
The Brooksfield Difference
Although our activities vary in subject matter, our approach to the child is consistent. A positive tone, reassuring words and constructive feedback have all become a Brooksfield trademark. Through training that guides our teachers to encourage grace and courtesy toward others, peaceful negotiations and resolutions, respect of oneself and the environment and compassion for all, we lead children toward developing responses that are thoughtful, considerate, appreciative, honest and polite. We find that this approach forms deep-rooted bonds among our students that last beyond the years they spend on our campus.

Fusion Academy Loudoun
Fusion Academy is a revolutionary private middle and high school where positive relationships unlock academic potential. We are a non-traditional community of learning with the smallest class size possible: one student and one teacher per classroom. This allows us to personalize curriculum for each student’s unique strengths, interests, and learning style. We are also able to customize scheduling; students may enroll at any time (even during the summer) and take classes at a time of day that works best for them.
Our supportive staff and campus environment provide a safe space for students to flourish emotionally, socially, and academically. It includes a state-of-the-art recording studio and a mixed-media art studio for students to express their creativity. Our Homework Café® is where students complete all their homework before they leave for the day with help and supervision from a teacher.
Classes are offered at three levels: essential, college prep, and honors. From algebra to yoga and everything in between, we have a wide variety of classes to choose from. Students can enroll full-time, take classes for credit, or utilize our tutoring services. In addition to academics, we partner with outside therapeutic professionals to support students’ emotional health and help foster a balanced life.
While it’s impossible to put our students into categories, we generally serve students with the following backgrounds: ADHD, accelerated/gifted learners, dyslexia, mild learning differences, social challenges, school anxiety, or students with challenging schedules. Students who attend Fusion have one thing in common: traditional school isn’t working.
Montesshare is a Montessori, Spanish bilingual preschool in an intimate, home environment for 3 to 6 year olds.
We have two Montessori teachers guiding 7 to 13 children. Our Montessori classroom sits on the sunny, spacious first floor of a home in Alexandria (22315). We are licensed by the State of Virginia.
We all know Early Childhood is an important time in the life of the child; it is an important time in the lives of parents, too! At Montesshare, we work to honor and ease that time for both you and your child. We are building a community of families who value not only the structure and freedom inherent in Montessori education, but the connection, as well.
Montesshare was birthed from Joy Wilder’s desire for an affordable, Montessori, Spanish bilingual education for her own four children. She draws on her experience co-founding TOTH Montessori (Best of D.C. Preschools three years and counting!), her deep desire to help families thrive and a commitment to the science of child development and education in order to create this beautiful Montessori space. She loves equipping parents to parent for more moments of appreciation and peace with their child!
As a state licensed, in-home program, you and your child will have a sense of security and confidence from the moment you enter our sunny, first floor, neighborhood location. At Montesshare, we understand the anxiety of separation as we understand the relationship between emotion and learning. We are committed to sharing the challenges and successes of this special phase in life, from our beautiful homey environment and intimate ratios to our flexible schedules and affordable rates, we make it easy to share this part of your family’s journey!
Trinity School at Meadow View
Trinity School at Meadow View is a classically based Christian school offering a rigorous humanities curriculum, advanced STEM classes and performance based arts. All students follow one, balanced curriculum that enables them to develop the intellectual habits they need for a lifetime of discovering truth, practicing goodness and creating beauty. Our community of learners is coed, but our classes are single sex, with no more than 20 students per classroom. This maximizes the ability of the individual student to learn well and to develop good friendships. Ours is also an ecumenical Christian culture marked by daily prayer and a moral order deeply rooted in Scripture and Christian tradition. Our ecumenism is a sign of Christian unity and one vital source of our common mission to serve God and our neighbors.
LePort Montessori Aldie
LePort Montessori Aldie is an authentic, nurturing Montessori school, offering infant and toddler daycare, preschool/kindergarten and elementary school, with a Mandarin immersion option for preschool / kindergarten, on a 10+ acre campus
LePort Montessori Aldie offers high-quality Montessori in a farm-school setting, for the entire family.
With programs from infants (as young as 3 months) through elementary school, your children can thrive at our school for many years. We would like to help your child gain what we call Knowledge for Life: the essential knowledge, thinking skills and strength of character needed to flourish as joyous children today, and as successful adults tomorrow. Many families choose our school, because we are known for being a great preschool—and stay through the elementary years, because they have discovered that the individualized, joyful learning experiences in Montessori are worth investing in.
LePort Aldie is conveniently located right off Route 50, near the Stone Springs Village Center. Many of our families come from the surrounding neighborhoods—Chantilly, Lenah Mills, Willowsford, Brambleton and Stone Ridge. We offer a real school experience to our students: our classrooms feature huge windows, and most rooms have direct access to a secure, walled-in courtyard where children can play and work. Our elementary courtyard features a greenhouse, and is home to the chickens our elementary students care for. The school building adjoins to multi-acre grounds, where children can run, play, and explore our nature areas as well as basketball courts and spacious play grounds.
Ms. Melissa Kemendo, Head of School, and her team look forward to showing you around your child’s future school, and helping you discover the life-changing value of a great Montessori education. As Montessori is not a trademarked term, Montessori schools vary widely in quality: some daycares and preschools use the name for marketing, without delivering on the promise of a great education. Our school is dual-accredited by the American Montessori Society and the Virginia Council of Private Education. With experienced, Montessori trained teachers, true mixed-age classrooms, and extended, uninterrupted work periods, we offer Montessori education at its best.

Visit our school and you will see our inviting classrooms carefully prepared to enhance your child’s learning experience and why we are much more than just a daycare, child care center or a traditional private school. Learn more about what Vision Montessori can provide for your child.
We offer parents the benefits of an authentic Montessori education at the cost of traditional daycare. We are proud to extend a 10% tuition discount to all federal, state, and county employees. Unlike many Montessori schools in area, we follow a year round schedule including offering programs during the summer and providing your family more consistency. During the winter months, we do not follow Loudoun County Public Schools during weather related closings and make every attempt to remain open.
