We are committed to hiring the most knowledgeable, caring and committed staff to accomplish this goal. Our curriculum will always have the cognitive, social, emotional and physical development of the individual child and their contribution to their community in mind. We take very seriously our responsibility to prepare today’s children for tomorrow’s global challenges without forgetting the joy of childhood.
What is your philosophy regarding childcare?
At Little Seasons the Creative Curriculum and learning through play is viewed as the cornerstone of our teaching strategies. Adults provide protection, security, stimulation, support, limits and affection. Children are respected as individuals within a child-oriented rather than teacher-directed program. At Little Seasons children are given the opportunity to explore materials and participate in a variety of experiences. Activities are carefully planned and implemented in an open-classroom setting.
The Creative Curriculum© balances both teacher-directed and child-initiated learning, with an emphasis on responding to children's learning styles and building on their strengths and interests. This curriculum applies the latest theory and research on best practices in teaching and learning and the content standards developed by states and professional organizations. While keeping the original environmentally based approach it clearly defines the teacher's vital role in connecting content, teaching, and learning for preschool children. It features goals and objectives linked directly to our valid and reliable assessment instrument.
Children are free to choose from age- appropriate activities including art, music, language development, pre-math skills, science and nature, and dramatic play. Children develop self- esteem, independence and problem-solving skills as they make choices and assist in planning the environment and the activities.

What safety precautions are in place for the children in your care?
Security is a priority. We live in a age where security is at the forefront of our minds. Upon construction of our facility we partnered with a local small business to build a state of the art security system for our facility.
