There are lots of types of preschools. The one(s) that most interest me have loving, dedicated teachers who know their craft above all else. Call them Reggio Emilio, Montessori, Faith-based, Play-based, etc. etc. etc. It all comes down to the people charged with loving your child.
Huh? When did kindergarten and daycare become preschool?
I disagree with Debbie. Having your child at a place that cares for and nurtures them is important, but the style of preschool should also match your family values and your child’s needs and strengths.
Reggio is great for some kids, Montessori is great for some kids. Other’s need more hand holding and structure.
It’s so important that you know your child and not just choose the preschool down the street.
